About the Company
Owners, Dale & Joyce Bangert, began creating custom log furniture in the early 90's, while building log homes in Wisconsin. As word spread about their unique handcrafted quality furniture, the demand for their products increased.
After moving to Corvallis, Montana Dale and Joyce decided to focus on designing, creating and selling their log furniture and custom log and wood pieces. Coyote Gulch Log Furniture was born, and the rest is history!
The retail store for Coyote Gulch Log Furniture, located at 778 U.S. Highway 93, just north of Hamilton, Montana opened its doors in 2003, making this fine quality furniture readily available to the general public.
About the Furniture
Custom-built in the Bitterroot Valley of Western Montana, Coyote Gulch Log Furniture is handcrafted using "standing dead" lodge pole pine...NO live trees are EVER cut to create our log furniture!
Every piece individually created...every piece unique!
Construction and Finish
- Logs, rails and log support pieces are hand-peeled using draw knives at our manufacturing facility in Corvallis, Montana.
- Mortise and tenon joinery is the primary assembly technique used in most Coyote Gulch log furniture.
- Most Coyote Gulch log and custom wood furniture is finished with either lacquer or linseed oil.
About the People Behind the Furniture
A small family-style enterprise, Coyote Gulch Log Furniture employs just one full time carpenter (besides Dale and Joyce) in the Corvallis manufacturing facility. Individual attention is paid to every piece of furniture that is produced, and the quality and attention to detail shows in the finished product!
We do not mass-produce...we produce quality... one piece at a time!
